boxes are the enemy

Well the move to LA is finally over. People don’t move that often but for some reason when we do it feels like the worst thing possible! Don’t get me wrong, I find it incredibly exciting to move to a new place where everything looks different and your belongings are set in new places. But when you are actually packing up and doing the manual labor, it is quite easy to forget the positive side.

I do think change is a wonderful thing and can bring about fresh creativity and a new energy. So hopefully this move will do just that and inspire some new music and new life. I used to take piano lessons when I was just a we little Kim but never stuck with it. I started taking them again and I am hoping to stick with it so I can start writing on the piano - such a beautiful instrument.

ok then, off to hanging pictures.

speak soon.

This is the second painting I ever made and the first of many swirl styles that for some reason I love. I painted it a few years back when I was living in Pacific Beach, San Diego.

test 1 2...

that painting is awesome...i love the depth of color and super-dizzy motion of the swirls, which aren't just one big greater swirl made of little swirls but more like a constellation of swirls out swirling - pals, but still individuals...and the pink in the background of course...it's really fun but more than fun at the same time...arrrghh...so hard to describe in words what you see in a painting...

hope the move was inspiring and that you have stuck with the piano lessons. the older i get the more it becomes my favorite instrument. keep up the art of all kinds.

look forward to some journal updating soon, when you get free time.
